Industrial Spray Coatings

Heavy-duty coating systems for steelwork, plant, tanks and structures — corrosion protection to ISO 1299x standards, applied on site or in our booth.

Industrial assets fail from the surface inwards. Our industrial spray coating service protects steelwork, storage tanks, structural frames, gantries, pipework and manufacturing plant with coating systems engineered to ISO 12944 — not generic paint.

Every programme begins with a corrosivity assessment and defect survey. From there we specify the full system: surface preparation grade, zinc-rich or epoxy primer, high-build intermediates and a UV-stable polyurethane topcoat in any RAL or safety colour. Film thickness is monitored wet and dry, with a documented inspection trail.

We work inside live factories, on bunds and tank farms, at height and in confined spaces — with the method statements, permits and certifications that industrial clients expect. Whether it is a single structural frame or an estate of 200 tanks, the paperwork and finish are identical: traceable and flawless.

Why industrial spray coatings

Corrosion engineering

Coatings specified to ISO 12944 for your corrosivity category, from C1 interiors to C5 coastal and chemical environments.

Surface-tolerant systems

Edge-retentive epoxies that bond to prepared rusty steel where blast cleaning is impossible.

Plant kept running

We coat live sites with hot work protocols, permits and shutdown windows planned to the hour.

Traceable quality

WFT/DFT readings, environmental logs and test reports accompany every handover pack.

How it works

  1. 1

    Asset survey

Corrosivity assessment, defect mapping and access planning for each asset.

  2. 2

    Surface preparation

Blasting, power-tool cleaning to St3 or ultra-high-pressure water jetting as specified.

  3. 3

    Primer & build coats

Zinc-rich or epoxy primers with high-build intermediate coats to specified microns.

  4. 4

    PU topcoat

UV-stable, chemical-resistant polyurethane finish in your RAL or safety colour.

  5. 5

    Inspection & handover

DFT survey, adhesion checks and a full quality documentation pack.

Questions, answered

What corrosivity categories do you coat for?
We specify to ISO 12944 from C2 (rural atmospheres) through C5-M (coastal, chemical). Each category dictates surface prep grade, primer type and total film thickness.
Can you work on live plant?
Yes — with method statements, hot-work permits, gas detection and toolbox talks. Many plant programmes are delivered during planned windows of only a few days.
Do you blast on site?
Where dust and debris are containable, yes — with fully tented enclosures and extraction. Otherwise we use power-tool cleaning to St3 with surface-tolerant epoxies.
What coatings do you use?
Approved systems from major manufacturers — zinc-rich epoxies, edge-retentive builds and isocyanate-free PU finishes for occupied sites.
How quickly can you mobilise?
Surveys within days and a typical mobilisation of one to two weeks, or 48 hours for emergency corrosion response.
