Spray Granite Coatings

The look and feel of granite in a spray-applied coating — tactile, chip-resistant stone-effect finishes for UPVC, aluminium, concrete and more.

Granite has a depth and tactility paint alone can’t fake — but quarried stone is heavy, expensive and impractical for doors and joinery. Spray granite coatings deliver the same speckled, light-catching character in a coating system you can apply to almost anything: composite front doors, garage doors, UPVC windows, kitchen cabinets, sills and facade features.

The process layers a full-cover base coat in your chosen colour, an even application of granite fleck, and a flow-coat clear seal. The result feels like stone, shrugs off chips and knocks, and holds its colour in direct sun — which is why it’s our most requested finish for statement front doors in anthracite and silver fleck.

Because it’s sprayed, complex profiles and mouldings get full, even coverage — no brush marks, no visible lap lines, just consistent granite from every angle.

Why spray granite coatings

Real stone character

Multi-fleck stone particles suspended in a tough carrier — looks and feels like honed granite.

Chip & scratch resistance

Far tougher than plain paint for high-touch doors, sills and counters.

Any base colour

Fleck over any RAL base — anthracite granite is the bestseller, but the palette is yours.

UV stable

Non-fading exterior-grade chemistry for south-facing doors and facades.

How it works

  1. 1

    Substrate prep

Clean, degrease, abrade and prime for UPVC, metal, timber or previously coated surfaces.

  2. 2

    Base coat

A fully covering base coat in your chosen colour is sprayed first.

  3. 3

    Stone application

Granite particles applied under controlled pressure for even distribution and density.

  4. 4

    Clear seal

Flow-coat clear lacquer locks the stone in and delivers the final sheen.

  5. 5

    Cure & handover

Controlled cure, clean-up and a walkthrough of care instructions.

Questions, answered

What surfaces suit granite coating?
Front and back doors, garage doors, window surrounds, sills, kitchen cabinet doors, island panels and architectural features — UPVC, composite, aluminium and timber.
Can it go outside?
Yes — the chemistry is exterior-grade with UV stability, so south-facing front doors are one of the most popular applications.
How durable is it compared to paint?
Significantly tougher. The stone layer and clear seal resist chips, knocks and scratches that would mark standard gloss.
Can I choose the fleck colour?
Base colour is any RAL, with silver, white, black or multicolour fleck options to compose your finish.
How do I look after it?
Wipe with a soft cloth and soapy water. Avoid abrasives; the clear coat handles the rest.
